This Privacy Policy explains how BuyForU.me (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use our website and purchasing-intermediary service. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Ukrainian data-protection law.

1. What data we collect

We only collect data that is necessary to provide our service:

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored encrypted).
• Order data: product links you submit, item descriptions, seller details, and your comments.
• Delivery data: recipient name, shipping address, phone number.
• Payment data: payment method and transaction identifiers. We do not store full card numbers — card payments are processed directly by our payment providers.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage data collected through cookies and analytics.

2. Why we use your data and legal basis

• To perform our service — purchasing items on your behalf and arranging delivery (legal basis: performance of a contract).
• To communicate with you about your orders, including status updates (contract / legitimate interest).
• To process payments through our payment providers (contract).
• To improve our website and understand how it is used (legitimate interest / consent for analytics cookies).
• To comply with legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

3. Who we share your data with

We share the minimum data required with trusted third parties who help us deliver the service:

• Payment providers (e.g. WayForPay, PayPal) — to process your payments securely.
• Shipping carriers (e.g. DHL, Ukrposhta, Nova Poshta) — to deliver your order. This includes the recipient’s name, address and phone number.
• Sellers and marketplaces in Ukraine — only the information needed to complete the purchase on your behalf.
• Analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) — in pseudonymised form.

We never sell your personal data to anyone.

4. International data transfers

Our service is operated from Ukraine, so your data is processed in Ukraine. Ukraine is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. When data is shared with international carriers such as DHL, appropriate safeguards apply.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your account and order data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to fulfil orders and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 7).

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your language preference, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand website usage. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect how the website works.

7. Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”);
• Restrict or object to certain processing;
• Receive your data in a portable format;
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
• Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

8. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted access. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
